Dr. Yadate has taught language and linguistics courses at Jimma University, one of the top universities of Ethiopia from 2004 to 2015. In addition, he has authored and co-authored various modules for regular and distance BA students of the University during the period of his employment. What is more, he has published several academic articles on internationally renowned peer reviewed journals both as a solo investigator and with other scholars. He has also served as a reviewer for Language and Social Science Journals. He has won a significant number of research grants from international and local research institutions. He has published part of his PhD dissertation in nine major European languages and his books are widely sold in international major bookstores. Apart from academic jobs, he has also volunteered and worked as a news media editor from 2016 t0 2019. At Selinus University, he advises and teaches PhD, MA, and BA students in the fields of Linguistics, English language and Literature, Folklore, Journalism, and Communications.
Dr. Yadate can fluently speak English, Norwegian, Italian, Afan Oromo, Amharic, some Arabic and French.
